A homeowner contacted AM Chimney Sweep about visible hairline cracks in the chimney crown ahead of winter.

The concern

Hairline cracks were visible in the chimney crown. The crown sheds water away from the flue and the brick below it, so cracks there are worth dealing with before cold, wet weather.

The work

Our team resurfaced and weatherproofed the crown and installed a new chimney cap.
